I would like to clarify that this lodge and many others, are not our ceremonial way of life, because of the way they are being conducted. My prayers go out for their families and loved ones for their loss.</div> <bR> <div> Our ceremonies are about life and healing, from the time this ancient ceremonial rite was given to our people, never has death been a part of our inikag a (life within) when conducted properly. Today the rite is interpreted as a sweat lodge, it is much more then that. So the term does not fit our real meaning of purification.</div> <bR> <div> Inikag¹a is the oldest ceremony brought to us by Wakan Tanka (Great Spirit).</div> <bR> <div> 19 generations ago, the Lakota/Dakota/Nakota Oyate (people), were given seven sacred rites of healing by a Spirit Woman  Pte San Win (White Buffalo Calf Woman). She brought these rites along with our sacred C¹anupa (pipe) to our People, when our ancestors were suffering from a difficult time. It was also brought for the future to help us for much more difficult times to come. They were brought to help us stay connected to who we are as a traditional cultural People. The values of conduct are very strict in any of these ceremonies, because we work with spirit. The way the Creator, Wakan Tanka told us; that if we stay humble and sincere, we will keep that connection with the inyan oyate (the stone people), who we call the Grandfathers, to be able to heal our selves and loved ones. We have a gift of prayer and healing and have to stay humble with our Unc¹i Maka (Grandmother Earth) and with one another. The inikag¹a is used in all of the seven sacred rites to prepare and finish the ceremonies, along with the sacred eagle feather. The feather represents the sacred knowledge of our ancestors.</div> <bR> <div> Our First Nations People have to earn the right to pour the mini wic¹oni (water of life) upon the inyan oyate (the stone people) in creating Inikag¹a by going on the vision quest for four years and four years Sundance. Then you are put through a ceremony to be painted - to recognize that you have now earned that right to take care of someone¹s life through purification.</div> <bR> <div> They should also be able to understand our sacred language, to be able to understand the messages from the Grandfathers, because they are ancient, they are our spirit ancestors. They walk and teach the values of our culture; in being humble, wise, caring and compassionate.</div> <bR> <div> What has happened in the news with the make shift sauna called the sweat lodge is not our ceremonial way of life!</div> <bR> <div> When you do ceremony - you can not have money on your mind. We deal with the pure sincere energy to create healing that comes from everyone in that circle of ceremony. The heart and mind must be connected. When you involve money, it changes the energy of healing. The person wants to get what they paid for; the Spirit Grandfathers will not be there, our way of life is now being exploited! You do more damage than good. No mention of monetary energy should exist in healing, not even with a can of love donations. When that energy exists, they will not even come. Only Œafter the ceremony, between the person that is being healed and the Intercessor who has helped connect with the Great Spirit, the energy of money can be given out of appreciation. That exchange of energy is from the heart; it is private and does not involve the Grandfathers! Whatever gift of appreciation the person who received the help, can now give the Intercessor what ever they feel their healing is worth.</div> <bR> <div> In our Prophesy of the White Buffalo Calf Woman, she told us that she would return and stand upon the earth when we are having a hard time. In 1994 this began to happen with the birth of the white buffalo, not only their nation, but many animal nations began to show their sacred color, which is white.</div> <bR> <div> She predicted that at this time there would be many changes upon Grandmother Earth. There would be things that we never experienced or heard of before; climate changes, earth changes, diseases, disrespect for life and one another would be shocking and there would be also many false prophets!</div> <bR> <div> My Grandmother that passed the bundle to me said I would be the last Keeper if the Oyate (people) do not straighten up. The assaults upon Grandmother Earth are horrendous, the assaults toward one another was not in our culture, the assaults against our People (Oyate) have been termed as genocide, and now we are experiencing spiritual genocide!</div> <bR> <div> Because of the problems that began to arise with our rebirth of being able to do our ceremonies in the open since the Freedom of Religion Act of 1978, our Elders began talking to me about the abuses they seen in our ceremonial way of life, which was once very strict. After many years of witnessing their warnings, we held a meeting to address this very issue of lack of protocol in our ceremonies. After reaching an agreement of addressing the misconduct of our ceremonies and reminding of the proper protocols, a statement was made in March 2003. Every effort was made to insure our way of life of who we are as traditional cultural People was made, because these ways are for our future and all life upon the Grandmother Earth (Mitakuye Oyasin  All my relations), so that they may have good health. Because these atrocities are being mocked and practiced all over the world, there was even a film we made called ³Spirits for Sale.</div> <bR> <div> The non-native people have a right to seek help from our ³First Nation Intercessors² for good health and well-being, it is up to that Intercessor.</div> <bR> <div> That is a privilege for all People that we gift for being able to have good health and understand that their protocol is to have respect and appreciate what we have to share. In Japan, half of their language is Cara-Maya. In India, a great amount of their spoken languages comes, undoubtedly, from the Naga-Maya. However, its proportion varies according to each language.</div> <bR> <div> The Candia Singhalese is full of original Mayan words, and all the European languages are impregnated with them, especially the Greek, whose alphabet is made up by Cara-Maya terms. A whole fifty per cent of the native Mexican language is Cara-Maya, and a Mexican native and a Japanese one can hold a conversation intelligibly without the help of an interpreter, since both languages have so many words in common. We could say the same about the Incas. The ancient languages Arcadian and Chaldean were Naga-Maya in a great amount, too, as well as the Egyptian. Further research would prove their common origin later.</div> <bR> <div> Naturally, time has made many changes in words. That is inevitable, but the root subsists despite so many changes. For example, in Greek we often find the letter 'g' replacing the Mayan 'k'. 'D' frequently replaces the Mayan 't', and 'r' does the same with the Mayan one 'l'. By the way, this last replacing of letters occurs in many languages.</div> <bR> <div> In all the words where the letter 'c' sounds like 'k', we can say that they come from the Maya language. In all of those languages, or almost all of them, the names of common things and people, the ones that express instruments and simple actions, the words that express family relationships, like father, brother, daughter or son, the first numbers, the pronouns, the endings of nouns and verbs are substantially the same ones. Chance could not have been able to cause this phenomena, and due to the fact that many nations have been separated for so long periods of time by vast extensions of the broad surface of earth, they could not have been able to exchange their languages in historic ages. So if we leave out borrowing and imitation of words, the only possible explanation is that those words and forms were brought by the migrating tribes as part of ancient possession shared by all the members in their original country."</div> <bR> <div> Each one of these universal words can be dated back to the ancient Mother-Maya language. Therefore, the natural deduction is that actually the Mayan language had been the mother-language, or perhaps one of the former sprouts from her.</div> <bR> <div> We must understand too that the current Mayan language is not the same as it was five or ten thousand years ago and neither the current English is the same as it was five hundred years ago. The Mayan language today is, as well as English, made up by several other languages intertwined with the original one; those changes took place during conquering times. A lot of Aztec and Nahuatl have been added to the original Maya, too.</div> <bR> <div> This original language was, undoubtedly, very restricted and short of vocabulary, in such a way that one word had several meanings. As far as I have been able to decipher ancient texts, I would dare to say that the meaning of a word depended much in his position in a phrase and how the word was stressed when it had more than one syllable.</div> <bR> <div> For example, the Mayan word 'ma' means 'mother', 'earth' and 'country'. In the Egyptian language it has the same meaning, but when it precedes nouns, verbs or adjectives, it is a sign of negation. A group of Mexican anthropologists will investigate in México and Guatemala what Indigenous Mayas think about the apocalyptic interpretation that occidentals have of their calendar that has been shown in the North American film “2012”.</div> <bR> <div> “The way Mayas think, it is all about one cyclic moment that has an end. Mayas never conceptualized this as a catastrophic date,” explains José Huchim, an archeologist and member of the Mayan community.</div> <bR> <div> “It is a worry that the vision that we have as Mayas is taken another meaning”.  Said Huchim, investigator of the National Institute of Anthropology and History of México (INAH), in an interview with AFP.</div> <bR> <div> “Genuinely the Mayas predicted that on this date, a deity associated with the war was going to descend, but does not exist a final count of the time,” explained Guillermo Bernal, investigator of the Center of Mayan Studies of the National Autonomous University of México (UNAM).</div> <bR> <div> The experts reject interpretations like the book “The Mayan Testament” of Steve Alten, which has sold 10 millions copies, and originated the North American film,  revealing that Mayas announced  the end of the world on December 21 of 2012.</div> <bR> <div> The investigators will move on March to Yucatán (Southeast of Mexico)   and Guatemala where they will contact the Xamanes (Mayan priests) of the Mayan communities to evaluate how they are preparing for 2012, and what they think about the publicity generated around  the movie.</div> <bR> <div> The biggest concern of the investigators is that those interpretations can be used to support the penetration of religious sects between the indigenous.</div> <bR> <div> “In the recent history have had examples of sects using this kind of apocalyptic interpretations to incite collective suicides,” remembers Bernal.</div> <bR> <div> According with official numbers, the Mayan population in Mexico is almost 1.5 millions, concentrated in the Yucatan Peninsula. In Guatemala the descendants of the Mayas are approximately 13 millions, the 40% of the population.</div> <bR> <div> According with an Estela found in Cobá, an archaeological zone of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo (East) on 2012, conclude the current age of the Mayan calendar that began 2,144 years before our age.</div> <bR> <div> The calendar called “The calendar of the long count” was created for the Mayas in order to register specific dates of their past and future that were engraved on Estelas. This calendar is divided in 13 bactunes or cycles of time of 144,000 days, and on December 2012 conclude the last one. To the Maya, essence and spirit are one and the same and their never  ending cyclic language tells matter how to act to give way to the cyclic changes. </div> <div> My uncle, Don Beto, explained this to me many years ago in a very simple manner. One day, as my uncle and I were walking in the jungle near Espita, my home town, he suddenly gestured indicating that we sit on some stones that were under a beautiful tree. As we sat down I perceived the aroma of mango fruit. My uncle was watching me and he asked me if I felt like eating a mango. Then, he said: "This is the right day for you to understand the essence-spirit concept." </div> <div> My uncle asked me if I could see a mango on the tree and I answered that I did not see any. He said: "Today, the mango fruit is not present. That is the way of existence; everything arrives spiritually first. Just as the mango fruit arrives, so does everything that exists. That is how we humans arrived in this world, first spiritually and later physically." </div> <div> "Hunbatz, remember the pyramids at X Wenk'al. That site is sacred to us, the Maya. Our physical roots are in that ancient site and it was there that our ancestors understood many laws on all that exists from the Great Spirit. In X Wenk'al, as well as in hundreds of pyramids on this continent, our ancestors performed ceremonies to honor all that was visible and all that was not visible. You cannot see the mango fruit, yet you can perceive its aroma." </div> <div> Then, my uncle's expression turned sad. I respectfully asked him the reason for such change. There was a sad tone in his voice as he answered: "The way things are changing makes me very sad. Modern civilization is losing respect for all that comes from the Great Spirit." He continued: "Many of the different animals that I used to see around this jungle are physically gone, the big trees are gone too. Everything is disappearing physically and my spirit grieves for this reason. I always implore the sacred Hunab K'u that we are not left without the essence-spirit of all that is gone and that, some day, He sends again the physical beauty we no longer see." </div> <div> In 1994, my Solar Sister Anja Korner (founder of Avebury Mystery School) invited me to give some lectures in England. While I was in that sacred land, I had the privilege of walking on one of the crop formations that have been found in wheat plantations at various locations in England. When I walked on one that had recently been formed near the Avebury pyramid, I could sense the change in frequency of the energy emitted and I felt as if Mother Earth were emitting energy upwards. </div> <div> It is important to note that the day before, a group of initiates and myself had performed a ritual precisely in that magnetic site and the crop formation was not there, but it was there the following day and, as we walked on it, we entered its dimension. Some people claim that these geometric designs are made by the farmers of the area. I am absolutely certain that this formation was not man-made. </div> <div> When I sat within the formation to meditate, I remembered my uncle telling me to always remember the teaching of the essence-spirit concept. Then I understood that, through this sacred site, Mother Earth was trying to communicate with intelligent, open-minded human beings that could understand the language of sacred geometry in its mathematical and vibrational aspects. </div> <div> When I was in Florida in 1996, for reasons of cosmic coincidence, I met Kathy Doore, who gave me a photograph of a recent crop formation in England, which seemed to suggest that the essence and body of our Mother Earth was not in the orbit it had occupied for millions of years and this saddened me. </div> <div> I have carried this photograph to many ceremonial centers and, at each sacred site, I show it to Father Sun and, sometimes, to Sister Moon and, when in meditation, I send it to the heart of Mother Earth and ask for her advice as what can be done in order not to lose her essence and her body. I invite every human being to do likewise. </div> <div> I still remember my uncle's sadness over the animals and trees that were gone and I too, feel sad. When you, Solar Brother and Solar Sister notice that in the area where you live the animals and the trees begin to disappear, you will realize that we are gradually facing isolation, that the life-giving spirits are disappearing, that the spirits that support this blue planet are being lost to another dimension. Should all essence-spirit be gone, Mother Earth may exhale her last sigh. Without her essence, her body may disappear and we all may pass to the memory of what once was here. </div> <div> The purpose of the Mayan initiation work is to determine what can be done to avoid the aforementioned, as we were sent to this planet to care for it and to love it. If we feel drawn to a special place and/or feel an otherworldly presence or feel a higher frequency this very well may be a doorway to the next dimension. </div> <div> One of the main reasons so many are drawn to sacred sites around the Earth is that all sacred sites exist on all dimensions at once. When we move into the next reality sacred sites will remain, but our modern society built of skyscrapers and superhighways will not. This is because sacred sites have a thread of energy that ties them to all the dimensions. </div> <div> Sacred sites are built on energy vortexes. Because of the centuries of solar lightwork done in these places, a magnification of the frequencies has been built. When we visit sacred sites, we feel excited, as they exhibit high frequencies and lower magnetics. These altered frequencies and lower magnetics attract those who are working to be free of limitations. Sacred sites are actually preparing us for dimensional shifting. Cicero</div> <div>   </div> <div> Peter Sturrock, professor emeritus of applied physics</div> <div> BY DAN STOBER</div> <bR> <div> It's a mystery that presented itself unexpectedly: The radioactive decay of some elements sitting quietly in laboratories on Earth seemed to be influenced by activities inside the sun, 93 million miles away.</div> <bR> <div> Is this possible?</div> <bR> <div> Researchers from Stanford and Purdue University believe it is. But their explanation of how it happens opens the door to yet another mystery.</div> <bR> <div> There is even an outside chance that this unexpected effect is brought about by a previously unknown particle emitted by the sun. "That would be truly remarkable," said Peter Sturrock, Stanford professor emeritus of applied physics and an expert on the inner workings of the sun.</div> <bR> <div> The story begins, in a sense, in classrooms around the world, where students are taught that the rate of decay of a specific radioactive material is a constant. This concept is relied upon, for example, when anthropologists use carbon-14 to date ancient artifacts and when doctors determine the proper dose of radioactivity to treat a cancer patient.</div> <bR> <div> Random numbers</div> <bR> <div> But that assumption was challenged in an unexpected way by a group of researchers from Purdue University who at the time were more interested in random numbers than nuclear decay. (Scientists use long strings of random numbers for a variety of calculations, but they are difficult to produce, since the process used to produce the numbers has an influence on the outcome.)</div> <bR> <div> Ephraim Fischbach, a physics professor at Purdue, was looking into the rate of radioactive decay of several isotopes as a possible source of random numbers generated without any human input. (A lump of radioactive cesium-137, for example, may decay at a steady rate overall, but individual atoms within the lump will decay in an unpredictable, random pattern. Thus the timing of the random ticks of a Geiger counter placed near the cesium might be used to generate random numbers.)</div> <bR> <div> As the researchers pored through published data on specific isotopes, they found disagreement in the measured decay rates – odd for supposed physical constants.</div> <bR> <div> Checking data collected at Brookhaven National Laboratory on Long Island and the Federal Physical and Technical Institute in Germany, they came across something even more surprising: long-term observation of the decay rate of silicon-32 and radium-226 seemed to show a small seasonal variation. The decay rate was ever so slightly faster in winter than in summer.</div> <bR> <div> Was this fluctuation real, or was it merely a glitch in the equipment used to measure the decay, induced by the change of seasons, with the accompanying changes in temperature and humidity?</div> <bR> <div> "Everyone thought it must be due to experimental mistakes, because we're all brought up to believe that decay rates are constant," Sturrock said.</div> <bR> <div> The sun speaks</div> <bR> <div> On Dec 13, 2006, the sun itself provided a crucial clue, when a solar flare sent a stream of particles and radiation toward Earth. Purdue nuclear engineer Jere Jenkins, while measuring the decay rate of manganese-54, a short-lived isotope used in medical diagnostics, noticed that the rate dropped slightly during the flare, a decrease that started about a day and a half before the flare.</div> <bR> <div> If this apparent relationship between flares and decay rates proves true, it could lead to a method of predicting solar flares prior to their occurrence, which could help prevent damage to satellites and electric grids, as well as save the lives of astronauts in space.</div> <bR> <div> The decay-rate aberrations that Jenkins noticed occurred during the middle of the night in Indiana – meaning that something produced by the sun had traveled all the way through the Earth to reach Jenkins' detectors. What could the flare send forth that could have such an effect?</div> <bR> <div> Jenkins and Fischbach guessed that the culprits in this bit of decay-rate mischief were probably solar neutrinos, the almost weightless particles famous for flying at almost the speed of light through the physical world – humans, rocks, oceans or planets – with virtually no interaction with anything.</div> <bR> <div> Then, in a series of papers published in Astroparticle Physics, Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research and Space Science Reviews, Jenkins, Fischbach and their colleagues showed that the observed variations in decay rates were highly unlikely to have come from environmental influences on the detection systems.</div> <bR> <div> Reason for suspicion</div> <bR> <div> Their findings strengthened the argument that the strange swings in decay rates were caused by neutrinos from the sun. The swings seemed to be in synch with the Earth's elliptical orbit, with the decay rates oscillating as the Earth came closer to the sun (where it would be exposed to more neutrinos) and then moving away.</div> <bR> <div> So there was good reason to suspect the sun, but could it be proved?</div> <bR> <div> Enter Peter Sturrock, Stanford professor emeritus of applied physics and an expert on the inner workings of the sun. While on a visit to the National Solar Observatory in Arizona, Sturrock was handed copies of the scientific journal articles written by the Purdue researchers.</div> <bR> <div> Sturrock knew from long experience that the intensity of the barrage of neutrinos the sun continuously sends racing toward Earth varies on a regular basis as the sun itself revolves and shows a different face, like a slower version of the revolving light on a police car. His advice to Purdue: Look for evidence that the changes in radioactive decay on Earth vary with the rotation of the sun. "That's what I suggested. And that's what we have done."</div> <bR> <div> A surprise </div> <bR> <div> Going back to take another look at the decay data from the Brookhaven lab, the researchers found a recurring pattern of 33 days. It was a bit of a surprise, given that most solar observations show a pattern of about 28 days – the rotation rate of the surface of the sun.</div> <bR> <div> The explanation? The core of the sun – where nuclear reactions produce neutrinos – apparently spins more slowly than the surface we see. "It may seem counter-intuitive, but it looks as if the core rotates more slowly than the rest of the sun," Sturrock said.</div> <bR> <div> All of the evidence points toward a conclusion that the sun is "communicating" with radioactive isotopes on Earth, said Fischbach.</div> <bR> <div> But there's one rather large question left unanswered. No one knows how neutrinos could interact with radioactive materials to change their rate of decay.</div> <bR> <div> "It doesn't make sense according to conventional ideas," Fischbach said. Jenkins whimsically added, "What we're suggesting is that something that doesn't really interact with anything is changing something that can't be changed."</div> <bR> <div> "It's an effect that no one yet understands," agreed Sturrock. "Theorists are starting to say, 'What's going on?' But that's what the evidence points to. A magnetic portal will open, linking Earth to the sun 93 million miles away. Tons of high-energy particles may flow through the opening before it closes again, around the time you reach the end of the page.</div> <bR> <div> "It's called a flux transfer event or 'FTE,'" says space physicist David Sibeck of the Goddard Space Flight Center. "Ten years ago I was pretty sure they didn't exist, but now the evidence is incontrovertible."</div> <bR> <div> Indeed, today Sibeck is telling an international assembly of space physicists at the 2008 Plasma Workshop in Huntsville, Alabama, that FTEs are not just common, but possibly twice as common as anyone had ever imagined.</div> <bR> <div> Researchers have long known that the Earth and sun must be connected. Earth's magnetosphere (the magnetic bubble that surrounds our planet) is filled with particles from the sun that arrive via the solar wind and penetrate the planet's magnetic defenses. They enter by following magnetic field lines that can be traced from terra firma all the way back to the sun's atmosphere.</div> <div>  </div> <div> "We used to think the connection was permanent and that solar wind could trickle into the near-Earth environment anytime the wind was active," says Sibeck. "We were wrong. The connections are not steady at all. They are often brief, bursty and very dynamic."</div> <bR> <div> Several speakers at the Workshop have outlined how FTEs form: On the dayside of Earth (the side closest to the sun), Earth's magnetic field presses against the sun's magnetic field. Approximately every eight minutes, the two fields briefly merge or "reconnect," forming a portal through which particles can flow. The portal takes the form of a magnetic cylinder about as wide as Earth. The European Space Agency's fleet of four Cluster spacecraft and NASA's five THEMIS probes have flown through and surrounded these cylinders, measuring their dimensions and sensing the particles that shoot through. "They're real," says Sibeck.</div> <bR> <div> Now that Cluster and THEMIS have directly sampled FTEs, theorists can use those measurements to simulate FTEs in their computers and predict how they might behave. Space physicist Jimmy Raeder of the University of New Hampshire presented one such simulation at the Workshop. He told his colleagues that the cylindrical portals tend to form above Earth's equator and then roll over Earth's winter pole. "I think there are two varieties of FTEs: active and passive." Active FTEs are magnetic cylinders that allow particles to flow through rather easily; they are important conduits of energy for Earth's magnetosphere. Passive FTEs are magnetic cylinders that offer more resistance; their internal structure does not admit such an easy flow of particles and fields. (For experts: Active FTEs form at equatorial latitudes when the IMF tips south; passive FTEs form at higher latitudes when the IMF tips north.) Sibeck has calculated the properties of passive FTEs and he is encouraging his colleagues to hunt for signs of them in data from THEMIS and Cluster. "Passive FTEs may not be very important, but until we know more about them we can't be sure."</div> <bR> <div> <B>There are many unanswered questions: Why do the portals form every 8 minutes?  How do magnetic fields inside the cylinder twist and coil?  "We're doing some heavy thinking about this at the Workshop," says Sibeck. </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Meanwhile, high above your head, a new portal is opening, connecting your planet to the sun.</B></div> <div> <B>________________________________________________________________________________</B></div> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
